Inspired by the fluid dynamics of rippling water, this ceramic form combines minimalist aesthetics with a sophisticated thrown-form. While a delicately textured black base slip is applied to the outer surface of the piece, the upper surface features a subtly rippled design that draws the eye inward. The plunging opening reveals the inner volume and the mottled black and white glaze combination applied, creating visual depth. Concentric rings of Kuan glaze layer atop the glossy, reflective rippled surface, enhancing the interplay of light and reflection.
