A large, weighty hand-thrown stoneware Charger with an Op-Art design. The upper and lower surfaces feature a black slip foundation underlying an organically textured crawling glaze surface, interrupted by precisely positioned wax-resist offset concentric rings that reference the lunar cycle.
Images illustrate the shifting colour of the piece depending on various natural lighting conditions. A blue tinge is present in more subdued lighting whereas a colour shift to sea green evident in strong daylight.
